5/27/2020 Freepbx Install Unistim
Edit /etc/asterisk/unistim.confNote that we are using the planned extension number as both Unistim ID and Unistim Line number, in this example, 6007.6007; name of the device, preferably the same as the extension numberdevice=000ae40a6c38; mac address of the phonecountry=no; country (ccTLD) for dial tone frequency. See README, default = usextension=line; To register for extension. This is needed IN ADDITION to a dialplan entrycontext=from-internal; freePBX uses this for internally originated calls.callerid='Desk'; Set a sane CID-displaytitledefault='Ext # 6007'; default = 'TimeZone (your time zone)'. 12 characters maxtimeformat=2; 0 = 0:00am; 1 (default) = 0h00, 2 = 0:00line=6007; Device and extension number. Only one line by device is currently supported.; Beware!

Now that you have set up your personal Asterisk® server (see Tutorial), it's time to secure it. I can't overstate the importance of this step. Without it, you could be leaving your server's VoIP ports open for anyone on the Internet, which may cost you a lot of money. Oct 07, 2017 Unified Networks IP Stimulus (UNIStim) Channel Driver for Asterisk This is a channel driver for Unistim protocol. You can use a least a Nortel i2002, i2004 and i2050.
I seem to having a hard time figuring out how to set up a Nortel 2004 phone that I recently got. I have other Nortel phones (1230, 1140e, 1165e, LG-Nortel 8820, 8840, and 6830) running the SIP firmware that work great with Asterisk, but I seem to have a hard time getting the UNISTIM one working. When I try to dial extension 1000, I get a 'Congratulations, you've gotten Asterisk set up' or something to that effect, but when I call 1000 on one of the SIP phones, I get through to the 1000 extension. Here's what I have in unistim.conf: I've also created a CUSTOM extension in the Asterisk Web UI, with the following dial: When I try to dial a regular phone number as well, I get a message saying 'Sorry, that's not a valid extension'. (I've redacted the phone number I was dialing with X). I am able to dial without any issues on the other (SIP) phones Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I thought I followed the directions here https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Introduction+to+the+Unistim+channel but I am having no luck. Thanks in advance. ![]() Comments are closed.
